An incredibly rare 35mm Roadshow I.B. Technicolor 4-Track Mag print screens March 16th - 19th. Often cited as a “Holy Grail” of film prints and “Beyond Rare," the film is based on the 1935 opera by George Gershwin, DuBose Heyward and Ira Gershwin. Sidney Poitier, Dorothy Dandridge, Sammy Davis Jr., Pearl Bailey, Brock Peters and Diahann Carroll star in the 1959 musical drama from director Otto Preminger and producer Samuel Goldwyn, featuring timeless music by George Gershwin. Includes the hit songs Summertime and I Got Plenty o’ Nuttin’. Selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress as culturally significant, this landmark classic has never officially been released on home media.
